Durban Cookies gets its roots from a unique blend of Durban Poison and Girl Scout Cookies. With those type of inspirational foundations and a high percentage of THC, partnered with some CBD goodness, this is a truly pleasant and delightful strain. This unique strain is great for recreational and medicinal uses, or both. I personally enjoyed the pairing of high THC with CBD and I could see this strain being particularly helpful for addressing pain issues but also providing some inspirational get up and go energy.

Amanda’s Durban Cookies Experience

I had just finished some errands and was preparing for a workout that you could easily say that I was less then enthused to engage in. Those moments when doing the best for yourself could so easily fall to the wayside and be replaced with whatever momentary complacency is presented.

I rolled myself up an inspirational doobie because I personally love to workout right after smoking some good ganja. Maybe it’s the extra challenge, I don’t know, it’s mostly just more fun this way.

At any rate I rolled up a nice fatty and started to enjoy the Cookies, I found myself instantly energized and inspired. I was drawn back into being more self-aware of my physical body as I marveled in the sunshine warming my skin while I sat outside and smoked. There was a pleasant buzzing enlightening me that lit up my auditory sensations that made every sound crystal clear and distinct, I wanted to act on them all! I have to say, this strain tops Durban Poison in my book and the blend with Girl Scout Cookies has created a powerhouse partnership that’s bound to please.

Durban Cookies fulfilled my expectations and hopes that lifted me up, energizing me for an epic HIIT session. Also, thanks to the CBD boost in this strain, I didn’t feel half bad doing my workout, until the next day of course. Is it mind over matter? Probably. Hehe, go for it Pamela Reif. I can keep up with your relentless ab workouts. Or at least smoking this strain made me feel like I could, which was fun!

Bag Appeal / Appearance

Not only is this strain amazing to smoke and have amazing effects, it’ a beauty to behold in the bag. The medium dense spade shaped decent sized buds are a comfortable density to break up in your bud buster. It’s a healthy middle between those super dense types that bust into powder and the leafy type buds.

The beautiful light earthy green color of these buds was also really gorgeous. Like a frosted sage, carrying hints of a warm hue from the orangy pistils, and talk about sparkly! My goodness, was it ever a shining star of trichome wonder and I always appreciate the look of those shining stars, don’t you?

Flavor and Aroma

Durban Cookies has this unique nutty but sweet earthy aroma that wafts upwards upon cracking open a gorgeous nug. Another aspect of the fragrance of this strain is that you can smell the girl scout cookies in the background but it’s not overpowering as the very strong Durban Poison genetic heritage.

This earthy smelling strain smoked with an inspirational wave of a distinct trichome tingle, but with a fizzy pop if you will. It tastes skunky, with a strong earthy flavour that hits your palette strong and fast. It is then followed up by a lingering sweet aftertaste on the tail end.
